There are far too many media outlets, NFL personnel, and others who have forgotten about Tennessee WR Kelley Washington. The 6'3", 225-pound specimen had to have surgery to fuse the C5 and C6 vertabrate in his neck and many people thought his career was over. What everyone failed to realize is that this was never considered a career threatening injury. In fact, this may now be the strongest part of Washington's body. Washington is training in Arizona with Warren Anderson and is said to have full range of motion in his neck and is nearly at 100%. Washington ran in the high 4.4 area this week and should be down to a low 4.4 or high 4.3 by the time UT's pro day rolls around in March. There is no chance that with his physical skills and maturity that Washington won't get past the Falcons in the late portion of round one.

Buffalo is now reportedly considering franchising WR Peerless Price. The Bills had originally been thought to be leaning toward letting Price go and promoting 2002 second rounder Josh Reed to the #2 WR slot behind Eric Moulds. The Bills, though, are reportedly having second thoughts whether Reed is quite ready to make that jump and will consider keeping Price for a year at the franchise tender and then reassessing at the end of the 2003 season. If the Bills do franchise Price, it would be a major disappointment to teams like Washington and Atlanta which already had the chequebooks out in anticipation of him becoming a free agent

Terrell the Terror

With all of the speculation surrounding the Dallas Cowboys first round pick at #5 one thing has remained constant, the man they have the most information on. Terrell Suggs has been the focal point of the Cowboys for the entire year and they were watching him with interest to see if he would declare for the draft. Suggs is I the field and he seems to fit the mold of a Bill Parcells defender. Until we hear something different, Suggs has to be the favorite to fall to Dallas at #5.---DJ Boyer

Our Lips are Sealed

In Denver, mum seems to be the word when dealing with the quarterback situation. There has been constant speculation about weather or not Brian Griese will remain with the team or not. Many feel the Broncos will look to draft a quarterback early like Kyle Boller or Chris Simms. Not wanting the situation to escalate out of control, the Denver Broncos have ordered a gag order on the situation saying only that “all options are open”.---DJ Boyer

Terrell Davis wants to suit up again

In the never-ending saga involving Terrell Davis, it has been learned that he would like to come back to the Broncos for the 2003 season. There has been talk and speculation for years surrounding what the Broncos would do with all the running backs in their stable. Some feel the Broncos would like Davis to come back and be the backup tailback for Clinton Portis. If that happens then Mike Anderson or Olandis Gary could be traded/released, if not both of them.---DJ Boyer
