8. Buffalo: DT Haloti Ngata, Oregon. Funny how the post-combine stuff works. This guy was the best run-stopper in years, if you listened to NFL people in Indianapolis. Now he's being passed by Brodrick Bunkley, the incredibly-named Florida State DT, on most mock drafts. I'm not buying it.

Its not like we're hoping he "slips" to us at 8.

I don't think this statement means it is a smokescreen. Different people talk about different players and they can only speculate. I think he is merely saying that Ngata is the better player while Bunkley impressed everyone with his combine workout. I agree with that assesment. Neither Modrak nor Marv, nor Jauron have said they like one over the other for sure. At least not in public.
