    Worse draft of day 1

I'd have to say it was New England:

    1. Laurence Maroney (RB)
    2. Chad Jackson (WR)
    3. David Thomas (TE)

While their 1st and 2nd pick are actually decent, they had stronger needs than a RB - RBs are a dime a dozen, and you can always find quality later on - there's like a million RBs in the draft. They far more strongly needed a DB or even a LB to groom for taking over Bruschi (even if he is a demi-god).

Chad Jackson is good also - but they had to trade up alot to get him. Again, that cost them filling some more holes.

Lastly, what's with the obsession with NE taking TEs early in every draft?

Again, I thought their D dropped a bit last year and they did not address it at all in the 1st day???

Mind you, I'm not complaining. But I think if I were a NE fan, I would be...
