3. Buffalo Bills (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=buf): The Bills were in a great spot at No. 8. They had at least two teams -- Denver and Minnesota -- calling up offering draft choices to move up. Those teams were looking for quarterbacks. The Bills could have worked a deal with the Eagles, who were considering a move to No. 8 to take a defensive tackle. Taking a safety, Donte Whitner (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2006&id=10365), at No. 8 instead of accepting one of those deals just wasn't a good value. Sure, maybe they weren't getting offers that matched the trade value chart (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670), but wouldn't it have been better to move down and get anything extra. They would still have been able to get Whitner. The Bills feared losing Whitner to the Lions, who didn't get Michael Huff (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2006&id=9281) at No. 9. That wasn't going to happen because the Lions were taking linebacker Ernie Sims (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2006&id=10381) if they didn't get Huff, who went to the Raiders. The Bills went a little too conservative.

He who laughs last...

We shall see, E.T. Clayton. Now go back to your little cell phone and call some "contacts" to make yourself feel important with the "inside scoops." Tool.

Exactly, we could have filled another two needs today in the draft by trading down and not trading up. And probably still have gotten the same players today.

Its not really who they picked that is so upsetting. Its how they played the game.

Not only does your draft suck, but you're allowing a 15 year-old to own you.

Little sad troll... :(

I post a perfectly legit article, and nobody wants to comment on it. Instead they went to attack me for having an opposing view. I never called anyone a homer, I just said a guy that doesn't post on this site is way past his prime to do his job. If I'm really bothering you guys, you need to get some help.

I don't think the players suck, but the drafting was bad, which is why Clayton put us on the losers list. It's true, Marv blew it in that regard, but we still got three players that will greatly improve the team.

No they were pointing out that this exact article was already posted and commented on in another thread. Why should it be talked about again?

I attacked the article since, as a Bills fan, I will defend the team against some nobody analyst who is on a high horse pointing fingers and deeming others as losers. If Gayton knows so dang much, why doesn't he work for an NFL squad and not ESPN, where all the FIRED and CRAPPIES who can't cut it in the NFL end up..? You should know, Bling, your ex-GM is a part of ESPN now. Do you take his "analysis" at face value? If he called the Phins "Losers" would you not defend your team?

Must be the Florida school system hard at work. Clayton rates Buffalo at # 3 and Bling's title states that Buffalo is # 1. I wouldn't expect anything less from the Florida educational system. Good try though!

2 above him are players (Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush). Apples and oranges, no?

and another thing....why the hell would they accept a crappy offer when they had a guy rated worthy of #8? Maybe a majority of the "experts" had him lower, but that's why teams draft and have their own draft boards and not Clayton, Kiper, et al.
I can't wait until Whitner puts his helmet up in Culpepper's chin.

I agree Andy. The teams have their own draft boards not Kipers or any other experts. Maybe he was the highest rated player left on their board. It doesnt matter when they select him as long as they get the guys they want. Miami had the perfect draft I guess right BLing because you just know Kiper rated your picks HIGH right??? Friggen Moron. Not to mention Kiper even said the Whitner pick wasnt that much of a reach. He had him going anywhere from 10-Miami anyway.
