Wow, he is a HORRIBLE tackler! most of his tackles were arm tackles near the shoulderpads! I see a lot of broken tackles his rookie year!

Youboty was very impressive maybe the most impressive out of them all in my opinion, Whitner never gives up and plays fast as hell, McCargo gets through the line very well, Simpson is going to give us much better run support than Vincent by viewing that video, Kyle WIlliams looks better than what I expected he looks like he can get through the line pretty quickly just like McCargo, and Butler was average I thought. After watching those videos I think Marv did a good job of drafting guys that don't take plays off like a Sam Adams might, he drafted youth with lots of speed and hunger instead of signing aging veterans like Milloy or Vincent, and most importantly he drafted guys that to me at least look like the kind of players that fit our system perfectly.

you know when i saw that comment in one of the draft analysis my assumption was they would try to move him to free. it made me nervous to think that a #8 pick SS could have tackling issues. frankly the vids did little to assuage that. he looks fundamentally unsound on some of those tackles and in the nfl it only takes one of those to lose a game

I've heard more than one 'expert' say Whitner is a solid tackler, including Mayock, who I actually have some respect for (plus, wasn't he a safety when he played?)

But watching those clips, man, he really gets in some odd looking positions when he's making a tackle.
