OT Terrance Pennington
Three-year letterwinner and returning starter who enters preseason camp as the starter at strong tackle after starting all 12 games on the quick side last year...coaches are looking for him to step in and be the next in a line of outstanding players at a position that has been manned over the past 3 years by two first team all-MWC selections and NFL caliber players in Jason Lenzmeier and Claude Terrell...at 6-7, 319, he is one of the largest of a massive group of linemen known as "The Hitmen"...took time to grow into his body, but has made major strides in the weight room over the past two years and has gotten the physical and technical aspects of his performance in synch...turned in a strong 2004 campaign, his first as a full-time starter, but coaches believe he has yet to show what he's truly capable of...boasts outstanding power in his upper body and has improved his lower body strength...425 bench, 365 incline, 301 power clean and 500 squat...has a good understanding of the offensive system and doesn't make many mental mistakes...has also done a nice job of keeping his weight down over the past two years...29 career games with 16 starts.
