I agree, bub! He's going to bring the hits. Only question I have is if the SS will ever blitz. He looked to be a hell of a hitter coming from the slot!

I'd love to see him blitz and nail Tom Brady. That would be sweet! :snicker:

I agree, this kid is going to be an impact player in the Cover 2. He plays like he's trying to prove something every down.

Our defense is going to be so damn fast it's sickening. Once these guys get the basics down and gel, they are going to be fun to watch.

the guy plays all out.. the only thing i can say that i really dont like.. if you watch his highlight reel.. he really doesnt kill anyone.. he kind of throws his body out there and wraps them up.. he uses everything.. arms, legs ect.. but he is not exactly the prettiest tackler.

that being said.. how can you not like a guy that throws his whole body in there. and he is probably less likely to get beat tackling like that then going for the knock out blow.

Ugly can be just as effective as pretty. I haven't seen the guy in any video's missing a tackle.

I forgot where I read it, but someone said he was going to be a john lynch type of player.

I'll take it! Especially if he can play as long as Lynch.

Yeah, and ironically lynch first became a pro bowler in the cover 2 scheme. I hope whitner can make an impact his rookie season so the bills can have the last laught for picking him at #8.
