    Typical Buffalo Sports Luck....

    Think about this...

Young went in the top 8. If someone from 1-7 had also selected Young or Cutler....

    4. D'Brick
    5. Hawk
    6. Davis
    7. Huff

Oak and NY Jets both needed a QB- if they had thought that Cutler or Leinart were the answer, then one of those 4 would have fallen to us.

IMO any one should have been an automatic selection if they had fallen. Instead 2 QB's drop, Buffalo gets put in a tough spot, and has to make a very difficult decision.

This draft was 7 players deep and we get the ****ing #8 pick.

and yet we had a very solid draft. Nothing to complain about. Would have been nice to get one of the top 7 players to fall, but when tha tdidn't happen we grabbed a rock solid need.

I've always thought that the 8 pick was like a drafting no-mans land.

Nothing to complain about other than a reach pick, which by definition means it's a bigger risk and will result in a player getting overpaid.

If Whitner is as good as Levy thinks he is, maybe none of that will matter.

But if one of those 4 guys fall, we don't even have this discussion. There would be nothing to debate.

If we lost to Cincy wouldn't we of had the #4 pick? Kind of like the year we came from 13 points down in the 4th quarter to beat Carolina and as a result we had the #4 pick (Mike Williams) in the 2002 draft instead of #2 (Julius Peppers).
You play to win but it is amazing the difference one win can make at draft time. Your talking Peppers and Brick instead of Williams and Whitner.

Stupid TD probably would have picked Williams at #2 anyway.
