Basically, Whitner is good but wasn't worth #8. Bills couldn't find a trade partner and they took their guy.
Nobody is overly impressed with McCargo considering he played with Williams and Lawson and they were obviously darfted above him. This is the equivalent of playing with Bruce Smith and Cornelius Bennett.
Here's my final thought. Take Whitner if you think he is that good but don't stretch for McCargo because your panicked that after him everybody really sucks. If DT was that important than take Bunkley and wait for Griffin. The Bills and Marv created their own sense of urgency. This is why you have to criticize their decision making. The fact that they got lucky in later rounds doesn't excuse their mess in the first round. This idea that you are a Bills hater because they didn't handle things well is ridiculous.
