List who you think has been the winners and/or losers up to this point in FA.

It can be any type of criteria. Depending on how well the teams filled glaring holes on their roster, upgraded at certain positions to make them better, getting steals with some players or really good value, or making deals to put themselves in place to get players that can help them.

Which teams have helped themselves for this year or for the future and which teams have hurt themselves. Which teams stick out to you?

One of the losers of FA that stick out to me has to be Mikey. He lost his starting franchise QB over 2.5 million dollars. He lost out on his backup plan for a talented QB of the future in Phillip Rivers. He also lost out on his 3rd option in JP Losman.

Not only on did he lose out on 3 QB's and only has Holcomb and Orton left, he also lost a young Tackle as a RFA to Sabre Ally over a million dollars.

All of that and he also admitted to losing out on most of the players on his list as other owners drafted them in front of him.

It's been a tough offseason for Mikey.

I guess I didn't do too bad. If I still got Rivers or Losman, my FA draft wouldn't look that awful. But right now I got Holcomb/Orton starting. That's scary. :ill:

I gained

OT: Max Starks
DT: Maake Kemotuutuamtutut
OLB: Lavar Arrington
QB: JP Losman

Filled a lot of needs and all have potential for higher ratings next year. Really apart Starks all also have a shot at longterm deals.

A lot of people had solid drafts thus far though. Billsfever id probably throw you in the "winners" group.

I'll give LA Playa some props - he clearly went in to the draft with an solid team and executed a well thought out plan. He dumped two high priced vets and picked some solid young talent albeit at a high cost but he was correct in stating that it don't cost much to get rid of these FAs next year.

Really I think everyone has done a solid job with the talent that was available

I feel that I did OK. The only real target that I wanted was Locklear and Mikey took him the round before I wanted him. I upgraded at Guard and got some much needed secondary and DE help with Asante Samuel and Ike Taylor at CB and Philip Daniels at DE. I really wanted a solid WR but I am in preliminary talks about possibly picking a top 3 WR. He would come at a hefty price but well worth it. With my solid core of young and talented LB's and Safety, I feel I have a good nucleus. Not to mention, to have the younger Manning at the helm I think I have some potential. Time will tell....Anyone looking to move a WR?? :)

The player I'm most excited about getting is Javon Walker. He just got traded to a great offense that will utilize him perfectly.

He won't help me this year but in 2007 I will have another great WR for a little over 3 million.

The other one is Phillip Rivers. If he is the real deal I will have a good QB for 2+ million.
