All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Are the Bills better taking Whitner and Mccargo and giving up a pick vs. taking Bunkley and Griffin and keeping their pick?
I think this is where the Bills made thier obvious mistake.
Well it's not "obvious!" Nothing is obvious until they start to play. And even then, there are factors like coaching and injuries to consider. The Bills may have completely screwed the pooch in the draft...or hit 9 home runs. We don't know, and you don't know either.

You are missing my point. It's your best guess. It's like taking Reggie Bush over Lendale White. You have to have a reason, like Bush is a better all around player.
It is easy to say "who knows". Peters is now our starting right tackle. But the question is which is better in your opinion?! Did we have just as much talent taking Bunkley and Griffin and not giving up a pick.
Isn't Marv saying that McCargo and Whitner are better and worth an additional pick.
no doubt in my mind that we got the better DBACK in that, and I think Bunkley will probably be better than McCargo but I also think McCargo will be good for us so I think its about even really
I think Promo got the point and you missed it, HHurricane. When teams draft, they have to make value judgements. Buffalo did exactly that. Only time will tell whether it was right or wrong, but it is certainly not an "obvious mistake" to any but a certain Christ Mortenson, who has an axe to grind against the Bills for canning his buddy TD, and a few disgruntled fans.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
HHurricane, I've addressed this question from you in other threads and I'm too tired to type it all out again. Please refer to my responses in those threads for my answer to this question.
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.
Bunkley has an attitude problem. The Bills made the right pick with Whitner, he will work hard and make some serious plays on Defense. He can change a game in one play just like McGee. Our DT position is going to rotate out, so why use a #8 pick when we could use a #26 pick on a DT. Do you know about the system we will be running?
