    Bills rookie pool

The Bills rookie pool has been set at $5,366,937, for those that care.

The rookie pool is the maximum amount of salary cap space a team can allot towards signing their rookies (drafted and undrafted).

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I am assuming thats all the money we have to dish out for their first years contract? Don't we have like 11-12 rookies this year? Or does it just count for players drafted last week?

It includes the cap numbers of all the players you drafted, plus the cap numbers of any unselected players signed to contracts after the draft.

Good or bad? It just is what the team has to work with when they slot contracts. It is supposed to make teams stick to the slotting system and keeps down rookie contracts.

That is about 2 mill over what was originally projected. No biggie. That still leaves us with about 6 mill or so
