An athletically gifted cornerback that didn't get a lot of playing time at Oklahoma due to injuries and talented players ahead of him in the lineup. Played in 11 games last season as a sub-package corner posting 15 tackles and a pass defensed. In 49 games for the Sooners he finished with 112 tackles, three interceptions, 16 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
WR - Chris Denney - 6'3" 219 - Nebraska-Omaha (Div. II)
Denney led the team in catches and yards in 2005 despite battling through injuries. He had 38 receptions for 783 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games. Denney was named the North Central Conference's most valuable receiver in both 2004 and 2005. He finished his career with 2,505 receiving yards.
MLB - John DiGiorgio - 6'2" 225 - Saginaw Valley State (Div. II)
A highly decorated Division II linebacker, DiGiorgio was named Great Lakes Conference Player of the Year. He broke the all-time tackle record at SVSU and finished his career with 462 tackles which ranks third all-time in Division II history. Finished 2005 with 142 tackles, 10 pass breakups, five sacks and two forced fumbles.
DE - Jason Hall - 6'3" 260 - Tennessee
Hall was not a full time starter for the Vols until his senior year. He had 51 tackles in 2005 with seven sacks and five quarterback hurries, three pass breakups and a fumble recovery. Hall finished with Tennessee career with 101 tackles and 13.5 sacks.
FB - Derrick Ming - 5'11" 245 - Missouri
Ming played linebacker for the Tigers, but will be tried at the fullback position with Buffalo. In 2005 Ming had 81 tackles, one interception and led the team with four forced fumbles. A co-captain, Ming also earned numerous All-Academic Big 12 honors and was named Scholar Athlete of the Year by the Independence Bowl Committee.
WR - Martin Nance - 6'3" - 212 - Miami (OH)
Nance was one of the school's all time leading receivers posting 208 receptions for 3,131 yards and 26 touchdowns, despite missing more than half of his junior season due to injury. He shattered Miami's single season record for receptions and receiving yards in 2003 with 90 catches for 1,498 yards. He also holds the school record for most receiving touchdowns in a season with 14 this past season to go along with his 1,107 receiving yards on 81 catches.
DE - Ryan Neill - 6'3" 265 - Rutgers
A first-team All-Big East selection for the second straight season, Neill was tied for second in the Big East with 10 sacks. He also had 24 quarterback hurries. Led all Rutgers defensive linemen, and was fourth overall on the team in tackles with 71. Neill was the Scarlet Knights team MVP in 2005. Big East All-Academic Football Team selection for two years.
DE - Matthew Rice - 6'4" 256 - Penn State
A second team All-Big Ten selection in 2005, Rice finished with 55 tackles, nine for loss, five sacks and five pass breakups his senior season. He finished his Penn State career with 147 tackles and nine sacks playing in 30 of 31 games.
