I missed a bunch of the game. I watched the first period and about half of the third. I turned the game over during the overtime intermission and turned it back on just after Drury scored.

That was some game, but I saw a Sabres team that looked vastly overplayed, outskated and outhit. As far as I saw, their goalie was absolutely terrible. Anybody have any different comments?

this should be huge for their confidence against the Sens, it will be a different game for number 2

I agree on most counts, however we have the heart! AND the WIN!!!

Win is all that counts. If the Sabres know they were outplayed and still won, that will give them great confidence.

GO SABRES!!!

thats what i saw

plus defensive breakdowns at key times. meszaro was awful

the sabres to their credit kept the petal to the metal and pressed ottawa into some of those mistakes for sure

but it was at least if not more of a collapse by the sens which is huge emotionally for the sabres

this is monumental

even the importance of taking home ice away pales in comparison to the message it sends the sabres. all season and this game the sens had their number, an answer to every challenge. until that. now its different. as huge a mental shift as you can get imo

I was at a bar for the game.

But I was taking a leak when the Sabres scored in OT.

The netminding was atrocious for both teams. I really didn't think that Buffalo would ever beat Ottawa in high-scoring freak of a game. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!

How huge is it to win the first game on the road? 3 days for the Sens to sulk!

I'd rather get no action and watch the Sabres, then get action and have to watch "Stranger in My House".

1 down; 3 to go! And the ottawa Congressmen will be put in the '05-'06 history books.
