What stood out as the Sabres hit the ice at the Amherst Pepsi Center Sunday, was who wasn't there.

Sabres Captain, Center Daniel Briere did not skate with the team, and was not at the arena.
Sabres Head Coach Lindy Ruff kept his cards close to the vest.

"He's got an upper body ailment... he should be able to go, but we'll see." more (http://www.wgrz.com/sports/sports_article.aspx?storyid=37746)

He has been getting rocked the last few games. An extra day off may be just what he needs. Miller wasn't at the voluntary skate yesterday as well.

Miller is probably writing sorry notes to himself in an effort to find forgiveness :idunno:

Coach Ruff said that he expects Danny to play in Game 2, so I feel more comfortable.

Is it just me or have a lot of players gone down lately with 'upper body ailments'?

upper body is usually a result from histicking, hooking and players grabbing your shoulders and twisting you while your skating,
