Ottawa is going to be hitting and hitting hard to get the Sabres out of their game. I would like to see a strong effort by the Sabres, not like games 2 and 3 in Philly.

Emery will get picked apart again, but Miller will hold strong and rob Sens players left and right. Sabres win 5-3.

5-3 was my prediction too, I just don't think I was as optimistic as you guys... Man I hope so though, If we came home up 2-0 it would be amazing.

So then, it appears Connolly is out after taking what some of you say is a cheap shot....Was it really? And, is he coming back tonight? Damn work.

Still no word on Connolly. Buffalo takin' a bunch of whistles. As far as the other stuff...lots of hitting, clutching, grabbing and crosschecking...NO WHISTLES!

When I finally got home (Around 5:35pm PST), I went straight to watching in the living room. I decided to arm myself with my "lucky shirt" (I'll post a pic of my t-shirt later!) I've been wearing for all 8 gamedays, and started watching.

What a game! Like was said, 1 game was the goal, but having a 2-0 game heading home is outstanding. Miller was a stud in net, and he needed to be---He gave up that softie in the game....again. But the turnovers were key again, and we capitalized on them. Great game. Buffalo made Ottawa pay for those turnovers, too, which is exactly what you must do in the playoffs. Naturally, I'm sure that no hockey media outlet will give Buffalo credit, and will say "Ottawa lost". You guys should have heard the Ottawa radio feed that I had to endure for the 20 minute drive home-----They continued to pound the point home that Ottawa lost Game 1, and Buffalo just took the gift given to them. While it's true the GWG was setup by Volchenkov's stupid gaffe on the pass attempt, what about the other 6 goals?

Of course, the downer is Connolly's obvious concussion. He got rocked, and hard. There's no excuse for him to be skating through the center of the ice like that without facing forward, though. As for the hit itself, it was clean, no doubt about it. I'm kind of shocked that so many of you called for Schaefer's head while I was at work, because that hit was really no different than when Campbell drilled Umberger. The unfortunate part is Timmy is hurt, and that is no laughing matter. :(

Onward to Wednesday, and Game 3! :beers:
