If Whitner is the next Ronnie Lott, Levy deserves executive of the year. But in every draft there are opportunities that must be pragmatically thought out. And you're right, when teams make a great choice, five years later people don't look back and say, well, they could have done a lot better if they traded down for two draft picks and still got the same guy.
I am not sure Levy would deserve all of the credit or blame. I worry about poor intellegence left from Donahoe era which Marv Levy has not had time to replace. I am hopimg some new scouts and new front office personel come in over next year.
