To Win the game tonight the Sabers need to.....
what are your thoughts, what are your keys to the game.

Simple to me
Get up 2 on Ottawa asap. Shots on Eery as soon and often as possible. He is the weak link and we need to get it in Ottawa's head that they don't have the goaltending to steal a game let alone two.

Pepper Emery with a ton of shots, make him play the puck.
Play AT Chara, not away from him.

I hope we play a little more tenacious and hit a little more. I'd like to see Gaustad and Pyatt bang around the net a little.

Too bad that I heard Kalinin and Connolly won't play tonight. I hope Kalinin's knee isn't too bad.

Connolly hurts, but Kalinin hurts more since our depth on D isn't nearly as nice. Looks like Fitzpatrick will be getting the nod then.

You may think I am crazy but I think losing Khalinin hurts more than losing Connolly. Fitzpatrick is awful. I really root for the guy since he is a Rochester product but he was out of position all the time or didn't take care of his guy. There is a reason why he was a team worst -18 during the regular season. Not to mention Khalinin was a team best +14 for the team this year.

Well then you and I agree...Not sure if anyone else agrees with us since Connolly leads the team with 11 points for the playoffs.
BTW, Fitzpatrick played one game in the playoffs (game 4 against the now golfing Flyers)and the Sabres lost and he finished -1 for the game...

Why is Fitzy "awful"? In the flyers series he did just fine. Ruff said Fitzy will be "very good".

We won without Kalinin and Connolly IN OTTAWA. What makes you think we can't do the same on our home ice??

I thought he played rather well, he put himself in good position to play the puck and didn't turn the puck over all the time..... I think he does somethings better than Kalinin and I'm not a big Kalinin fan to begin with but I think Fitzy can play just as well as Kalinin....
