All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I'm climbing on board. The Sabres were always my hockey team, but it was very hard to watch them before the change in the enforcement of the rules (and a few rule changes too). The Sabres basically lucked out that all of the post lockout changes taylored the game to the team Darcy Regier had built, at the same time that Buffalo's young players seemed to mature. I'm not sure that Darcy Regier is so much good as he is lucky. In any case, the Sabres are amazingly good right now. They have speed, stick handling talent, enough shooting skill, and incredible mental toughness along with burgeoning confidence. I wouldn't say they're unbeatable, but they seem to be getting awfully close.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

I wasn't a big fan of the old hockey. I was always a Sabres fan, because they are the local team and also have a strong connection with my Amerks. But I love the hockey games this year and the Sabres games have been fun to watch.
“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.
