All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

In all seriousness, I am concerned the Sabres are gonna blow this.
Call it a gut feeling (and those that have seen my gut will be concerned as well), but I am nervous.
I have a gut feeling as well, but mine is a positive one... I don't think that Emery can stand on his head and hold us to 1 goal a game for the next 3 straight games...... either Ottawa is gonna have a mental break down, or emery is gonna go soft for part of a game and we will capitalize! we will win this series!

I'm also nervous about how they will react to this. Let's face it - Ottawa had their number during the regular season. Will the Sabres be able to regain their confidence and energy? This isn't the Flyers we're talking about - the Senators aren't going to lie down in Game 5.
I hope they pull it out. With their style of play, I think the Sabres will benefit from the extra days rest.
IMO, if the Sabres are truly the better all around team than Ottawa then there is no need to worry about them losing the next 3 games. If you feel the Senators are by far the better team and the Sabres are getting lucky then panicking is justafiable.
The Sabres are a very good team. Sure they lost Connolly and Khalinin but they still have plenty of other good players..I do get very nervous about Fitzpatrick though. Not only did he lead the team in the worse plus/minus rating he did it as a 3rd line defenseman so he doesn't get that much ice time plus he only played 50+ games.

In all honesty, I have watched the Sabres crap all over the place more than once too. The early 80's was brutal.
If it does, everyone can take free chest shots on me at the bills home opener.

I think we will close it out tomorrow and if not then we will do it on OUR home ice. If anyone remembers when we first predicted this series,I said Sabs in 6,but if it goes to 7...I worry.
Honestly I think the back to back games hurt us. Yes we're a young team but I think they got caught up in the emotion of being at home and trying to close out the series. We'll come back tonight with a day of rest and kick some senator butt!
