Wall honor sends ex-Bill to videotape

Reed was chosen as the 23rd inductee to the Wall of Fame and the sixth member from the Bills' Super Bowl era, joining Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Kent Hull, Darryl Talley and Jim Ritcher.

"What a great honor it is," Reed said. "To be up there among the best players who ever played and with the guys from my era, that's something special. . . . It's going to be a great honor not just for me but for all my family and friends."

Reed was very, very good. Great? I do not know if he was great but he was very, very good.

Not likely. If he did not make final 12 this year it will take more than 1 more year. Thurman is next.

Art Monk not being in the HOF says all you need to know about Andres' chances for it. But congrats to Andre making the Wall.

Andre deserves the Wall, and he also deserves the Hall IMO.

I think it's a shame that if you're a QB, all you basically have to do is earn a starting job for a few years and you're pretty much in, but WR's continue to get screwed in the voting.

It would be nice to see more Bills honored in the HOF as tribute to four straight AFC titles, but its going to be a long while before Reed makes the HOF< in my opinion.

I do think Thurman gets in easily next year however.

 Congrats to Andre, but as far as the Hall goes,Thurman will get in before Andre.

Thurman should have gone in this year. He was one of the most dynamic, game changing players of his era. If he had played with a Star on his helmet, he would have been in without a doubt. I think Andre will get in a little sooner then most people feel, but it will be longer then he deserves.

Funny how as soon as Marv becomes GM one of "his" players that might not really deserve it winds up on the wall.

I always liked Andre. One of my favorite Bills of that era. I don't feel he is really worthy of the wall (or the hall for that matter).

Andre is 4th all-time in catches (951). 6th all-time in receiving yards (13,198). 10th in touchdown receptions (87), which surely was hurt by all the weapons he played with. And so that he wasn't just a wideout benefiting from his great teammates, he was one of the best break tackle/yards after catch wideouts of his era. He played in 7 straight Pro Bowls.

He is more then deserving of the Wall. And he has Hall stats, though it will take a while to get there.

How many Pro Bowls did Reuben Brown go to? Should he be considered for the Wall of Fame?

My point is that while Reed was a very good wide receiver, he didn't do anything that spectacular that should put him in the elite class with OJ, Jim Kelly, etc.

That being said, there are other players already on the wall far less deserving (in my opinon) than Andre.
