Maybe in Game 1, but Emery played pretty solid the rest of way out...I'm not sure Hasek would've fared any better.

Hasek is a shadow of his former self. He and Emery put up very similar numbers before Hasek's injury. The Sens maybe would of won one more game but the series would of had the same outcome

Yes. Even though he is older now, he still, like Brodeur, has the capacity to win a game or series single handedly. I don't think he would of been shelled for 7 goals the first game and that was the game that put Ottawa in a tail spin.

But injuries are part of the game. Look at all of Buffalo's so I don't think it can be used for an excuse.

i don't think so.hasek has become a turtle when the playoffs come around.he oughta hang up the skates.

No doubt. Emery was complete trash.

A difference? Yes.
THE difference? No.

They might have stretched a game or two but Sabres were clearly better team.

i think he would have

in a series of one goal games all it takes is one or two key saves to change everything. emery made virtually none the first three games and i cant imagine dom being that mediocre for that long

If he was 110% and no less,he couldve made A difference in a couple of games, but since hes older I dont think he wouldve been THE difference,as we wouldve eventually wore him down.
