Patriots | Looking for DT Help - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
5:48 PT: The Boston Globe reports the New England Patriots plan to address a need for a high-quality DT this offseason. The team has two picks in the first round of the draft (14th and 19th), and it is a possibility they could use both picks on the position. If the Patriots are able to land two quality starters either in the draft or through free agency, they are expected to move DT Richard Seymour to DE to take advantage of his quickness.

= pittman may be a decent option at DE.. for cheap.. he is a speed rusher, who played for one of the better defensive lines in the league last year.. same with mcglockton.. although he is older.. i think his price wont be as high as it once was.

My god, what I would give to get McGlockton into a Bills uni...

yeah.. he definately would be worth a shot.. i would consider him and gardener the best available options at DT.. i think he may be a serious consideration.. as he would cure alot of issues on the defensive line immediately.. with CM and big Pat in the middle.. that would IMMEDIATELY make schobel and jones/denny/ahanatu better at the ends..

as an offense, you would have to concentrate on blocking up the gut, therefore.. less pressure on the ends..

McGlockton might be lazy but either would be an improvement in this team. I am all for bringing them in. You can never have enough bodies as long as the price is right.

did he look lazy as he was running a travis henry fumble back to the house and ended up proving to be the difference in the game we lost to the broncos?

their defensive line was very good last year.. he was a big part of that.

the bills could end up with one of the best defenses with 2 huge signings (1 lb, 1 dt) if td plays his cards right....

How old is that guy? The last thing you want to do is to bring in another "veteran" guy that has his best days behind him. Remember Eddie.....

I think that having McGlockton next to Williams would kick butt. and spikes and Peterson, Fletcher behingd them for the LBing positions are D would be one of the best.
