The Pens did it, Boston, the NYI's have all done it w/ great success. The other choice is to top out as an 8th seed, and have several "good" players, with no elite players, that can only ever manage to win 1 playoff game; at best!!Quote:

The Bruins never did it. They were just that bad when they got Joe Thorton under poor management.
I have never seen a team tank in one year and then plan to tank the next season as well like the Sabres have.
You may be right on the Bruins. I suggested that w/o thinking. I totally get the ethical dilemma, but at the end of the day, I want this team to be as successful as we can. The way we are going about making this happen is totally the right thing to do for the team and the fanbase, but not so much ethically.
