Re: Veterans flock to Jax to play for Marrone
I'm sure Marone was the key factor in their decisions lol.
Re: Veterans flock to Jax to play for Marrone
None of the above articles mentioned Doug Marrone.
The Jags signed Wisniewski to a 1 year deal, a 31 year old tight end that took a pay cut, an offensive lineman with 9 starts in his career, and a tight end in Thomas that makes the Bills signing of Clay look cheap.
What's your point?
The Jaguars and Doug Marrone suck?
Re: Veterans flock to Jax to play for Marrone
The Jaguars did a better job shoring up their o-line than the Bills did.

Except they brought in a guy who made our OL worse.

No they didn't they brought in Marrone.

Probably those guys will be sorry, and I'm not sure the Jags Bradley's clock is not ticking, probably faster if he's that happy about having Hackett and Marrone. Might be looking at a short stay for Boy Hackett and St. Doug down thereabouts.
Re: Veterans flock to Jax to play for Marrone
Does this mean that McCoy, Clay, Harvin, incognito, Cassel, Felton, and Taylor all flocked to Buffalo to play for Aaron Kromer, the Bills Offensive Line Coach? I suppose it was the draw of Kromer that caused guys like Hughes and Easley to re-sign with the Bills as well.
**** Marrone. He's the Offensive Line Coach in Jacksonville...oh, and he also holds the BS, face-saving title of "Assistant Head Coach." For now, that is...he may quit tomorrow. Maybe there is some unknown clause in this contract that he can exploit to scam free money from the Jags and leave them in the lurch. We can't be sure when he'll high-tail it out of town.

McCoy, Harvin, Felton, Cassel, Taylor don't play on the line. So try apples to apples, not apples to oranges.

Try removing your thumb from your anus.
Re: Veterans flock to Jax to play for Marrone
You first.
Marrone brought you 9-7.
Rex Ryan took a good team all the way down to 4 - 12.
Another brilliant Bills fan.

Apples to apples...remember?
I'm certain that the Jaguars have a Tight Ends Coach. Two of the four guys you suggest flocked to work with Marrone are Tight Ends, NOT offensive lineman. So the other TWO guys flocked to work with Marrone? Is that really what you are saying? Do two guys constitute a "flock?"
Dunno what exactly you are trying to project upon me on your post I'm quoting here, or what you base it upon...
Re: Veterans flock to Jax to play for Marrone
Tight ends aren't taught to block by the o-line coach? Hmm.

Face it, your premise doesn't hold up to scrutiny.
I'm sure it was the world-renound Offensive Line guru Doug Marrone that drew Julius Thomas to Jacksonville to finally learn how to block, and not the guaranteed $21 million. But we both know that's BS. It's The Jaguars' Tight Ends coach that drew him in...that is if you want to base your thinking on incredible random assumptions.

The Jets were a "good team?" :lmao:
And Marrone had nothing to do with the 9-7 record. That was thanks to Whaley, Schwartz and Crossman. Marrone's unit, and area of specialty specifically, sucked.

We drafted 3 go-lineman last year and added Incognito this year, draft is coming up...
Line has been addressed..
All the whiners need to find some new material..
Vets flocking to Jax's new offensive line coach???
Re: Veterans flock to Jax to play for Marrone
Makes you wonder why there was such a lack of interest with Wisniewski and Parnell, considering they had to resort to sign with the Jaguars for just one year deals.

Yeah se went 9-7 by hiring Schwartz. On the other hand, how was Marrones OL and offense? The unit he was supposedly an expert of?
Marrone freaked out when Orton decided to quit . IMO , as bad as our OL and O were, Orton made Marrones offense look ugly instead of horrendous. Now that Orton wasn't coming back to bail Marrone, exercise the opt out clause so he can fool another team into thinking he was solely responsible for 9-7. He fooled you.
We shall see soon enough how Marrones OL will up against Rexys D in England.

That is true in terms of personnel.
Marrone has nothing to do with it however.
