5 negatives of this Bills team
Fair is fair so turn it loose and burn it up. I think I offered some decent positives, even going 5 more, so people should know I'm not all gloom and doom.
Mine :
- I don't like Rex Ryan as an HC. He's a motivator on a team that needs coaching and we saw how that worked out for Ted Nolan in hockey. I believe he lacks the skills, flexibility and gameday management to keep anyone from ever saying "Wow, he knows his football."
- Related to the above, I don't think they can rein in penalties, with every week being a bunch of hyper psyched guys intending to bully their way over enthusiastically (lacking discipline) into their HC's press conference and good graces.
- Roman does not know passing, Harbaugh did. Lee/Lal, Palmer (?) are not Harbaugh, and are deficient imho. The lack of focused assertion or timely contribution will not get plays off quicker or streamline a gameplan that gets uncertain if we need to not run.
- I think Tyrod Taylor will take a beating from it all and be unable to stay healthy leading to the airball of how much can you really pay him or does he deserve without really knowing.
- I think offenses have evolved faster that Ryan's defenses, and his defense has been solved.
I don't know if my perceived negatives outweigh my perceived positives. I hope they don't. If they do I hope we cut bait when the season ends and hire someone who knows better than Brandon or Whaley to help the next choice.
Spew your venom.
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team

Nailed it in five.
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team
I don't need 5. I just need one: Russ Brandon. As long as he is here, it's all about the bottom line. Doing something marketable will always be valued over doing something substantial.
Pegula will see the error of his ways eventually, but not before the playoff drought hits 20.
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team
1) no accountability
2) Rex
3) rolling the dice on too many fragile players or overpaying for them (Watkins, Ragland, Shaq)
4) bad game-day coaching (no adjustments, no hurry-up offense, bad challenges, not benching players for stupid penalties)
5) no accountability
6) no accountability
I had to list 6 because I find all 6 equally important and I could not narrow it down to 5 only.
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team
1. Wrecks Wryan.
2. Wruss Brandon having any input at all on the football side of the organization.
3. Lack of a philosophy/model/plan for building a competitive team.
4. Too many question marks at too many positions.
5. Defensive scheme/system that is past it's expiration date. Wrecks needs to simplify the reads/responsibilities/calls.

awaiting a real brexit vote. Brandon needs to go.
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team
1) Whaley cannot evaluate QB talent.
2) Salary cap management (or lack thereof)
3) Tyrod Taylor is only under contract for another year, and it's far from clear he's the answer anyway.
4) The defense did much worse under Ryan than under Schwartz
5) Thus far, Pegula appears to have done little or nothing to create accountability in the Bills' front office or coaching staff.

I'm stunned that you spewed more venom in the positive thread, then restrained yourself in the negative one, unless you tired yourself out ?

1) no team museum
2) stupid address
3) genesee beer
4) steel urine troughs
5) brittle crystalline players
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team
1. Team is built to win in the 70s NFL not the present NFL.
2. Wrecks is a joke.
3. A defense that is markedly worse today than it was 2 years ago.
4. A QB who is allergic to throwing over the middle.
5. Gonna be 17 years, and counting, with no end in sight.
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team
Coaching is still a huge question mark
Qb is still a question mark
Right side of OL is a question mark
This team is facing better AFCE rivals (depending on whether the jets re-sign Fitz)
We're still winless
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team
1. Brandon
2. Rex Ryan
3. strength and conditioning coaches
4. crappy kicking coverage
5. Kim Pegula is married to Terry Pegula and its not an open relationship. . . .
Re: 5 negatives of this Bills team
Does anyone actually think that Russ Brandon still has ANY influence on the football side of the organization?

Considering who they replaced Marrone with, absolutely.
