I was listening to WFAN Sunday 1/1/23 morning and the host was saying if the Giants made the playoffs Daboll is coach of the year. Well, there's only one candidate for coach of the year & that's Kyle Shanahan. He's winning games on his 3rd QB, a rookie who was "Mr. Irrelevant" in the 2022 draft. Now if this was any other year there might be some great candidates, but not this season. Here's the field:
Kyle Shanahan-Working a miracle with Brock "Mr. Irrelevant" Purdy. Won the division with 3 different starting QBs.
Kevin O'Connell-Has won every 1 score game they've played & won the division.
Brian Daboll-Got the Giants into the playoffs, but they're still only the 3rd best team in their division.
Nick Sirianni-Has brought the Eagles back to Super Bowl contenders
Pete Carroll-Winning with Geno Smith. The Seahawks were the preseason favorite as the NFC's worst team.
Mike Tomlin-Kept the team together & if he wins the season finale vs Cleveland he will keep his record of never having a losing season intact. All while developing a rookie QB.
