This is the best signing they could have had in FA'CY.
1. Do they shame him into coming back by saying something like.."Josh, Steph, Von etc. all restructured so we could pay you more money."?;
2. If so, did he believe it?
3. Did Pegula secretly agree to cover his NYS tax liability?
4. Will it count against the cap?
So...as it stands now, they've lost 1 starter from last season. Am I right? And they get 2 back who weren't there at the end of last season, Von and Hyde.
Don't be surprised if Jack Campbell isn't taken at 27...ok, maybe be a little surprised.
Campbell is the no brainer choice JMO.
If you want him round 2 would be too late.

Any guesses?
I'll go with 2 years, $20 million.

He is. But there are a few others to consider. Overshown...fun to watch...and he's built like a little lighter version of Edmunds. But like Edmunds...idk...does some stupid things. Like others, he's converted DB and is learning the position.
A couple of others to consider outside of round 1.
Dorian Williams is a great athlete who is just learning the position. Smallish, maybe better built for the outside..but he can also cover.
If not Campbell, this is my number 2 guy..
Daiyan Hebnley, Washington St.
Moves sideline to sideline, covers, makes plays in the backfield and at the LOS. Had a great Senior Bowl week.

Always takes 2 years to fully come back from an ACL, unless you're Adrian Peterson. I have faith he'll be back to his old self

Not sure I want him. He's on the slow side for coverage responsibilities. Kind of the AJ Epenesa of linebackers, not terrible, just meh
Rather see if the Bills can find a way to fit Bobby Wagner under the cap. Kind of a bad year to draft a linebacker.

With 12 mil up front.
I think it's great to have him back.
Losing an all-pro is one thing, but losing him to a div rival would be really bad.
Now if his wife and Jerry Sullivan would just STFU!

But the other other day you said he would get injured in 2023.. and he would get cut..and within 18 months his wife would divorce him?

Slow, idk...he did a 4.64 at the Combine. Its no where near Epenesa slow. Edmunds ran a 4.54. They both had about the same 10 yard split. In the COD skill tests, the 3 cone and the shuttle, he finished first in both. That was over those who ran a faster 40.
To me, he's got functional speed. And better, his recognition skills make up for the slightly slower 40 time.
In coverage...take it for what its worth analytics...but his opposing qb rating when targeted over the past 2 years was 85 and 70.
To me, Campbell answered a great number of questions about his athleticism.

$20 million will postpone that for a few years.

Re: Report - Poyer Returning To Bills
I had resigned myself to the likelihood he wasn't coming back considering his comments on the weather and taxes, even though I stated he was the priority to get to come back. One or two more runs at it for him and Hyde, what the hell. F_L is right, though, they need to start preparing for the next generation, even if it means taking two in the draft this year, or one and moving Benford.
And yes, I'm OK with Campbell in the first.
