L’Jarius Sneed: I hope Chiefs have enough for me and Chris Jones
L'Jarius Sneed- I hope Chiefs have enough for me and Chris Jones - NBC Sports
Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones vowed to return for a shot at a third straight Super Bowl title earlier this week, but an actual deal isn’t likely to come together overnight.
One of the reasons why the Chiefs won’t be able to wrap things up quickly is because they’ll also be trying to hold onto cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. General Manager Brett Veach called re-signing both players a top priority of the offseason, but Sneed sounds unsure that everything will work out.

I heard they have tons of cap space so both should really cash in.
Also maybe room for an anxious Gabe Davis who know's?

Andy Reid "hoping" Chiefs can get deal done with Chris Jones - NBC Sports
“I’m hoping [it is close],” Reid said. “I can’t give you anything because I don’t have a whole lot. I’m doing all these media things, so maybe something is going better than I think it is.”
Jones, the top free agent on PFT’s top 100, did not get the franchise tag. So, absent a new deal by 4 p.m. ET Monday, other teams can begin legally negotiating with Jones.
The clock is ticking to get it done.
“We’d love to have him back,” Reid said. "[General Manager] Brett Veach and his gang are working through that. Chris Shea works with our cap and does the contracts. So, they’re all working through this thing. They’ve had great communication. So, we’ll just see where it goes from here.”

The details of the Jones deal will paint the full picture. How much is fully guaranteed at signing? That’s the most important factor, along with when and to what extent injury guarantees flip to full guarantees before the team could move on.
The first three years supposedly pay $95 million guaranteed, either “fully” or “practically,” depending on which media outlet you believe. That matches the Donald deal. It could be that it’s simply a three-year deal, with a pair of phony years on the back end that will drive the average beyond the Donald deal.
