America the Beautiful should be our National Anthem

Commercialism. NFL doesn't give a **** about what the Anthem means, it's about who's performing and what ratings it brings.
My humble opinion: the song should be sung solemn, not a ratings thing.

Carrie Underwood's was the best rendition.
I also wish these jokers in today's world could just sing it like Cheryl Ladd did instead of trying to make it their "own." They drag is on and sing it like someone ******ed would be. It's ridiculous how long it takes sometimes.
Top 2 renditions ever...
There's probably no video of it but the worst anthem I ever heard was at the stadium (then known as Rich Stadium) about 20-30 years ago when they had some soldier sing it. If I remember correctly, it was a game against the Jets. He was so bad literally half the fans were laughing at him. The other half were feeling sorry for him & just praying it would end soon. Anyone who was there that day can't ever forget it.
I'm always like just get the game started already.
I get all the patriotic significance of the anthem but it's really not a great song. The melody was originally a bawdy drinking song and the adapted lyrics are dated and too much about war for my taste. And it's a very hard song to sing decently. 90% of the renditions you hear flat out suck. Personally I'd rather we went with America the Beautiful but that's just me.
The guy that played the saxophone at the Falcons stadium in the playoffs last year absolutely crushed it.
