Poyer on his 4th down INT - "blown coverage"
He's right. It's hard to read on that coverage because it appeared to be zone initially. Is Duvernay Poyer's guy? he escaped to the right corner wide open while Lamar is being chased by Von and Greg. Lamar said in his presser that "big man" in front him, partially blocking his view until late.
But to Poyer's credit, he recovered just in time. And the result is perfect - an INT to get the ball to Josh's hand at 20 yard line.
Re: Poyer on his 4th down INT - "blown coverage"
The Refs gave Lamar a chance to be the hero by not calling holding on both of their tackles.

Yeah they got away with a lot of holding, especially in the first half.
Re: Poyer on his 4th down INT - "blown coverage"
Lawson was almost bent in half backwards
Re: Poyer on his 4th down INT - "blown coverage"
Yeah that would have been really weak holding calls if the refs threw the flags. I'm glad they didn't.
Glad Poyer made the play, but hope Frazier addresses the issue in film breakdown.

At least it was horrible for both teams this week.
Re: Poyer on his 4th down INT - "blown coverage"
This is a good example of how a good pass rush can really help out the secondary
if the pass rush doesn’t get in Lamar’s face, that’s an easy touchdown
Re: Poyer on his 4th down INT - "blown coverage"
I didn't even notice Davis wide open on the left until it was pointed out. Chances are high that would have been a TD if Allen were the QB.
Re: Poyer on his 4th down INT - "blown coverage"
Yeah the RT should absolutely have been called for holding. Glad they overcame it.

It's actually good they didn't call it. If they call it, the Ravens kick a FG.

How? the Bills would have declined the penalty

Every defense playing against Jackson knows where his first read is. And his strength is throwing to the middle.
Allen is much better at this stage going through progressions and throwing the ball to any spot. Still, skipping throw to McKenzie like last Sunday happened - McKenzie himself explained that Allen's read progression on that play is left to right but McKenzie got open right away. What I think that Beasley is still better than McKenzie in the mental part is that he knows when to "slow" play sometimes to get open right at the moment when your QB's read is onto you - not an excuse for Allen to rush the throw resulting skipping it short).
Re: Poyer on his 4th down INT - "blown coverage"
You can cover your bet since there is no doubt Poyer got blown last night.

i think JA handling the ball 80 times out of 90 plays in 100 degree heat had more to skipping the ball to McKenzie then anything else. I bet his legs were jelly by that point in the game.

The holding was insane .... it was more like tackling.

McKenzie is the closest one to that action and he had to know by talking about the play to Josh afterwards. When he was asked about specifically about that play by Tyler Dunne with the possibility of Josh being tired under the heat (near the end of the game), Josh's hand (previous play jammed his hand a bit), McKenzie pretty much said NO, just Josh not set to throw the ball when he saw him so wide open at the end of the read progression.
If I'm Dorsey, I'd send Josh back to the fundamentals: adjusting his feet while he goes thru progressions so he can throw the without having to re-adjust his stands. Yes he's tired but fundamentals should not change.

Fundamentals are the first thing to go when fatigued.
It's sports science 101.
99 out of 100 times Josh makes that throw. Unfortunately, the one time he misses was vs the Dolphins, for the win.

Really! Would you feel the same way if they scored the TD instead of Poyer’s interception?
They were hold all day the referee’s did a horrible job. Yes there is holding on every play but what the Ravens oline was doing all day was almost criminal!

The one on Taron Johnson that wasn't called was just as bad if not worse.
I don't know how to share the still picture or videos from Twitter.
