Lawson, Ragland, Washington
The Bills have a brand new defense.

Re: Lawson, Ragland, Washington
These are all Rex type of guys. Our defense turns it around this year. Big time.

OR if they don't we can fire Rex?

Re: Lawson, Ragland, Washington
On offense, RT, RG, Receivers except for Sammy are all question marks or substandard. Our QB situation after this year could be an embarrassing disaster.
Oddly though, I feel really good about the Bills right now.

Re: Lawson, Ragland, Washington
Two defensive players of the year and a situational interior pass rusher, who (if Rex can motivate) has the talent to be great. Not bad.

If it doesn't will we use the rookie excuse?

Re: Lawson, Ragland, Washington
Oh there will be excuses. You can bet on that.

Re: Lawson, Ragland, Washington
I don't think Rex is our answer, but I do like our selections. I think Rex will continue to be a poor in game decision maker. Talent doesn't fix that.
I didnt love love the trade value for getting Ragland but I'm happy they got him with that pick. Doesn't seem like like the trade up for tj graham

agree completely. this trade made sense. Graham will always be a mystery for me.

Baltimore was ready to pick him, according to reports. Picking a 1st round value player for a couple 4th rounders ( especially when we already had an extra one ) is peanuts for a starting MLB with talent.

How many of these drafts do we need to get the D back to where it was before he got here?
-
Re: Lawson, Ragland, Washington
I think we hit big on the first two picks but I'm not sold on Washington. He seems like a career rotational guy like Bryant or Carrington. We need to invest a couple picks on the O-line but I'm thinking there will be a little run on them in the 4th. Crossing my fingers that we snag a good one. Hawkins, Beavers, Greene, McGovern could all help.

Hardly. I watch every Buckeye game. He gets in the backfield constantly and is a rare DT like Rankins ( #12 to the Saints ) in that he has multiple pass rush moves and cannot stay blocked.

Re: Lawson, Ragland, Washington
All things said I am happy with how the draft played out for us so far. I would like another 5 technique later, a CB, a QB, and an OT.

Rex will!

Whaley and Pegula shouldn't brook any. Rex was given a top 5 defense, to which he has received a first, two seconds, and a third round pick to bolster and his brother to help coach. Either his system works under these conditions or he's hopeless and it's time to go.

It's a good thing we're drafting players who can play 4-3 in case the next HC prefer it.

Re: Lawson, Ragland, Washington
Very excited over these guys. If Lawson does more then stand up and hold his block, it's an upgrade from what they got from Mario last year. Ragland has a chance to be the best Bills LB since.... Takeo? If nothing more Washington adds to the rotation and inside pass rush.

Bingo.
Lawson, Dareus, Washington and Hughes on the front. P.Brown with Ragland in the middle, still need a LBer to replace Bradham. Set with three corners, at least (Darby, Gilmore, Robey in the slot) maybe four (I still like Butler). Get a safety and the right coordinator and BAM! top 5 again, that quickly.

What about Z. Brown?
