Varada Signs as Season is Set to Begin

I thought the hockey season had already begun... but this was dated for today. Sorry if it's actually old news. :confused:


Buffalo Sabres winger Vaclav Varada has come to terms with the team and will be available to play in the season opener on Thursday against the New York Islanders. Varada had been holding out as a restricted free agent and missed all of training camp. The deal is reportedly a two-year contract at roughly $3 million.
