On media day, after the Buffalo Bills exited this year’s NFL playoffs in an unflattering fashion, defensive tackle Jordan Phillips announced that he had been playing through the final weeks of the season with a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder.

I'd love to resign him pending successful surgery.

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind him back next year.
Re: Bills DT Jordan Phillips to have rotator cuff surgery
He won't be pricey, bring the man back. Healthy, he fits perfect here in their rotation.
Re: Bills DT Jordan Phillips to have rotator cuff surgery
He loves it here. I expect he'll be back if they want him and they should.

A rotator cuff for John Q Citizen is six months.
For a pro baseball player, it's 18 months
For a pro football player ......

A shoulder to a lineman is like a foot is to a carpenter.
He's done.

He won’t be ready to play next season. I’m with sahlen, put a fork in him

You can’t lift anything for 6-8 weeks.
He won’t be playing football next season
Re: Bills DT Jordan Phillips to have rotator cuff surgery
1. It depends on the size of the tear.
2. Rehab is up to 8 months for elite athletes.
3. It's not necessarily career ending.

I think 18 months is for Tommy John surgery and that’s on the elbow.
The rotator cuff surgery recovery timeline can vary case by case, but a full recovery typically takes four to six months. That’s for almost anyone.

I was being sarcastic. As for the rotator cuff, it depends on the degree of the tear. I wouldn't write him off. I've torn both of mine, it depends on the degree of the tear and his rehab. If he looks remotely close to available, I'd bring him back. They spend on the best available care.

More and more I think the Bills may need me. It might be time for me to put the pads back on again. It's been since 1987, I might be rusty.

I'm just telling you what my surgeon told me.
And the reason I asked him, was because Excelsior is the Ortho group for the Buffalo Bisons....they have baseballs and bats mounted in that area as wall decorations.

If you cane play lb, shed blockers, and stuff the run, you are signed.
I re-watched some of that Bengals game and Edmunds got his ass kicked by the Bengals run game. He couldn’t do any of those things you cannot be any worse.

Wasn’t trying to pi$$ on your Cheerios, I just never heard of that long for rotator cuff. I never got the surgery because I didn’t want to wait 4-6 months to get back to softball which at the time I was playing 7 days a week in Florida. Do I move from the outfield to the infield, plus I bow hunt and golfed so I would and haven’t gotten it. I did work with a physical therapist doing weight training and it made it manageable for a hack.
Anyway, I was just asking because I know Tommy John takes ball players especially pitchers forever to come Bach from.

Re: Bills DT Jordan Phillips to have rotator cuff surgery
Phillips is injury prone. Ankle injuries early on were an issue. Move on.
