Third Vote of the 2007 Season
We have come to a cross roads in the history of the BZFL. I find my available time dwindling down to nothing. At this time I need the input of the owners to decide the fate of the BZFL. I want to keep this league running and believe it or not it would actually be easier to start the league from scratch rather than try to carry it forward as is. I just don't have the time to update all the contract stuff from last year whereas restarting the league would actually be easier. However, having said that I leave it to you to decide.
Restart or continue as is? Please vote. I will even include the worst, imo, option...ending the league.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
Are you nuts? Re-start the league, after all the moves we've made? No way.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
If you need to restart, that's ok... I understand... i voted to continue on, but If you need to restart to get organized and make things easier i'm ok with it.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
Continue on... sure there is a learning curve but you adjust.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
im indifferent, ill go with the majority.

Stick a fork in the league
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
If you re-start it, I won't be participating.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
Restart if thats what is easier and best for the leauge to continue,
we all know thats the way Denver will ever win
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
I vote to continue it as is. But if u do start over again, I might be willing to go with it.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
If it would be easier to keep the league going, I'm all for starting over. Now would be better then later and it would be a good chance to set things up to ensure the league's longevity. It would be the perfect time to expand the league, find out how to distribute the workflow involved and streamline all this data to keep everything as simple as possible.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
thanks for the support and input guys...keep discussing.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
i took over this abortion and i'd like to fix it.
i support continuing the league but count me in if we start over.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
I think id prefer to carry on as is, simply because a lot of guys put some serious work into building thier team and drafting well. And with the nightmare that is the stocking draft taking likely 2-4 weeks unless we started like next week I dont know how much time id have to do all that over again.

I agree with u I have planned for a few years down the round by my drafts....
Would be a waste of my time then
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
I understand how busy people are and IM just as busy as anyone else. But alot of us have put in huge amounts of time in drafting, just dont want that time to be gone..
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
thanks guys...great feedback...we will continue on as is...one caveat...you need to give me a few weeks to get everything together...I stop teaching for a month in May. My goal will be to get everything together in early May and out to you. Trim the rosters and get moving. I will not put a hard time table on it but we can do it with your patience. Thanks!
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
I would almost suggest doing the drafts in the evening, it seems that a lot of people had to submit lists during the day...maybe this should be the next vote.

i have to work during the day so that's what i'll be doing.
Re: Third Vote of the 2007 Season
I can offer one thought. KISS - this is an all volunteer league. Rather than striving to be NFL exact (it ain't going to happen) adjust the contracting to a more simple system. What you have now is very complex, restrictive and takes a lot of time to sort through. After you get rosters out, you will be spending the next 2 weeks sorting through all of the "adjustments and changes".
Is there a way to simplify the salary cap system and make it manageable?
