*4-2. Sloppy third from what I read.

The NHL does not seem to care about the length of your lens, whereas I could not take a 135mm lens into the Ralph to shoot my nephew's Cleve Hill game.

Ironically, Gordie Howe played hockey for nearly 5 decades and only had 2 Gordie Howe hat tricks.

The number keeps changing. Several years ago, it was zero. Then it was one. Now it's two. I wonder if the zero or one was just the product of overhearing misinformation and not caring enough to research it

Your pics seem to confirm that. Are there still lens holes through the glass? I doubt it. That was old school Aud.

Yes there are. At least as of a few years ago
Re: 2022-2023 Sabres Thread
Vinnie Hinostroza is going to be one of the odd men out this year if he doesn't get his scoring up. (He scored last night). But with Quinn & Peterka seemingly sticking and all the other youngsters pushing to make the big team, there aren't a lot of spots remaining. He and Asplund are at biggest risk of losing their spots. Both are pretty good players.

So, we might lose some pretty good players because we have too many better players?
It's been a long time since the Sabres have been in that position.

Asplund isn't going anywhere. He's an elite defensive forward. He got 11 selkes vote last year

Peterka is not a lock yet. Hot and cold.

Wasn't he the better of the two at the end of last season in Rochester?

The first 2 minutes or so of the third were REALLY sloppy; Buffalo gave up 2 goals in the span of 2 minutes. Then it was meh up until Peterka notched the empty-netter.

He did pick up his play in the latter half of the season; personally, I'd send him down to the Amerks to start the season and if he keeps improving, bring him up.

You are 100% correct. Quinn went ice cold in the playoffs. 2 assists in 10 games while Peterka had 7 goals and 5 assists.
I am strictly going by what the media talking heads have stated this past month. Quinn is flying and getting good results. Locking up a spot on the 2nd line.
Peterka was scheduled for the 3rd line but is 50/50 for making opening night, due to playing a bit tentative and making some mistakes. Hinistroza may take his spot for now but I realize that's just the chatter. Sounds like they want to get him going better, which may indicate Rochester initially but we'll see. He had 68 points in the AHL regular season. Quinn had 61 in only 45 games once he returned from injury and was always the top guy for promotion.
I'm rooting for him and fully expect to see him sooner or later. Maybe it's just finding him the right 2 guys to play with on a line.

The issue is the sabres have too many guys that block him having a spot in the lineup.
I think spot call ups should be the way until the deadline comes and guys are offloaded
Re: 2022-2023 Sabres Thread
Comrie looks awful.
Sabres down 2-0 early vs Penguins.
Re: 2022-2023 Sabres Thread
3-0 in the first.
No Dahlin, Thompson, Power or Skinner.

Hinostroza with a shorty!
