Not saying this was the reason they lost, but it is very indicative of the way refs are calling things with the bills.

Should be fined for sure, but probably won't be.
Oh, I think that penalties are the reason the Bills lost that game as much as anything, if not more-so. Some we deserved. Some pretty tricky-tack game-changing calls in there, to say the least...taking points off the board more than once. I know it's unfashionable to suggest such things, but it's true IMO. These bad calls don't have to happen at the end of the game to drastically determine the outcome, like we saw last night.
17 penalties? Too many penalties now, and that takes away from the game so much that I want to tune out a lot.
I liked it better when The Smoking Man was in charge of the NFL instead of Kraft and Belichick...at least he let us get to the Super Bowl.
it's easier to catch penalities when you have a knack for making them up against one team and not the other.
it almost feels like the refs are betting on games these days and they are hell bent on determining the outcome more so than refing the game. this isn't a refs against buffalo. this season, some teams just get peppered with flags. even in the indy game, they got penalty after penalty on somewhat minor things that didn't impact the actual play.
if that's not what is driving it, then this influx of new refs are trying to impress how much they know by calling everything.
i don't get why the union refs are so much better than the scrub refs. both have full on blown the outcomes of games.
Stupidity is punishment enough for punching a dude in the helmet with your bare hand basically.
He's lucky he didn't end up breaking it.
Dumbass.
Gets layed out then gets up, punches someone and runs away. Yeah he's a real tough guy.
So let him punch and don't shove back, that's discipline. Already gave a better shot than he did. Like when you see Incognito walking away innocently with people still slapping at him. Can't believe I'm using Incognito as an example, but let's face it, the refs look over if they didn't see the punch, and they see a Bills player doing what Bills players are doing these days. Not like the guy is going to hurt your pearly whites through a face mask or the street is going to label you as a momma's boy.
The Bills got screwed on a bunch of calls but they created their own mess as well.
The whinning about OBJ is embarrassing.
He also punched Brown, which Brown was caught retaliating.
why is it embarassing? this is how players get their reputations. if OBJ keeps doing it, other teams are going to comment on it.
maybe he was playing loose because coughlin said the bills would crack. but maybe that's his thing. if it is, then we'll see how much longer it lasts before other teams start complaining too.
I think the Bills reputation is hurting them in instances like this because the officials are so focused on the Bills players and wanting to keep their actions in check. Going to take some work to get rid of that reputation before officials go in to games with a more neutral view of the team.
This is what Kyle Williams was alluding too when he said the refs were just looking for stuff.
Why does OBJ get away with punching guys and we get called for every rule int he book ??
Nobody is making excuses for the poor play and even poorer discipline of the Bills. But the refs are atrocious and some of those penalties were terrible calls that for sure affected the outcome.
He got fined $9K for the punches.
Mike Williams got fined $11K last year for wearing red socks.
What a ****ing joke
