This was a great series, and I give all the credit in the world to the Sabres for taking it the distance with all their injuries. You've got a hell of a team and will be one of the favorites for many years to come.

I do think if the Sabres were healthy it would have been another story. It just sucks about the freaking timing of all their injuries. It does feel like a waste of a season, because imho they were the best team in the NHL this season, just like the Bills were the best team in the NFL the year they lost SB25

It was a hell of a series and I'm not one who'll sit here and make excuses. Luck and bounces is part of the game, Carolina had those two departments in the series and oh yeah Ward/Gerber were just as good if not better than Miller. You make your own breaks as well in games, when it came down to Carolina was the better team in that aspect. It happens, doesn't take away anything from a hell of a season.

Every game was a good game and when it came down to game 7 we can't even blame the officiating considering it was called evenly down the middle for a nice change of pace.

I am now not much of a fan of Rod Brind'amour and his comment of Ruff should do less talking because he takes away the spotlight of a very good hockey team. I paraphrased there.
