I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
The Assassins will try to add even more depth to the interior of their offensive line w/ their last pick.
We hope that our last selection is truly a diamond in the rough. He hasn't played the top level of competition, and that may slow his development some. We feel he can be a decent backup due to his quickness and strength. He also has a nice frame in terms of long arms and good overall size (6-4 3/4, 316). A project to be sure, but one we feel has some upside, so..........
w/ their pick in Round 8, their final pick of the draft, the Erie Assassins select Kevin Boothe, G from Cornell.
NE will select, Dan Stevenson Guard from Norte Dame

It looks like 5:00. With the last rookie pick, the KC Super Deuces will select someone they believe will get some good PT this season and for the next few years as well. He will move into the rotation for the Bills and will fill in nicely on the Super Deuces. We will take:
Kyle Williams DT
Ryan Withey
Owner/President/GM/Director of Player Personnel
