    Tampa Tribune announces draft picks

The Tampa Tribune announces the 2006 NFL Draft picks for the Tarpons. I would have to give this draft an A due to all of the draft picks they had in the draft. They made alot of moves last year to get these picks. Having 3 1st Round picks they definitely found holes and depth throughout there team. Having the 11th pick they didn't feel there was a player there that had the talent that they were looking for so they traded down to the 18th spot and got there guy anyway and also picked up a 3rd round pick in the process.

Here is the 2006 Draft for the Tampa Tarpons

1st R0und #5 Vernon Davis TE Maryland felt this was one of the best athletes in the draft, and will be a solid pick for our team

1st #6 AJ HAWK OLB OHIO STATE

    1st #18 JASON ALLEN S TENN

2nd #26 TAMBA HALI DE PENN STATE

3rd #48 ERIC WINSTON OT UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI

    4 #72 CHARLES SPENCER C/G PITT

5th #86 DEVIN HESTER CB/KR/PR UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI

    6th #106 ANTHONY SMITH S SYRACUSE

7th #126 DEMETRIUS WILLIAMS WR OREGON

8th #146 DOMATA PEKO DT MICHIGAN STATE

Nice draft. Not really a fan of Hester, but he does have potential. Maybe he'll make good on that in the pros. I like the Spencer and Smith picks, and I think Demetrius Williams could become a pretty good WR in time. The guy's got nice speed, something you just can't coach.

And he still got Hali in the 2nd lol.

4 1st rounders overall. Then some great late OL help.

EXACTLY! 4 players with first round talent, plus two excellent offensive lineman that will push for starting jobs. I say we found ourselves the winner.

Looking at all these drafts, it makes me feel like I really ****ed up.

My draft looks like nothing right now compared to all these others.

you should have a great draft when you have 4 of the first 26 picks, if you dont then you should shoot yourself, my vote stays with Jersey because of where he selected.

If you have a ton of early picks its pretty easy to have a good draft if you draft # 20 each round its alot harder

I agree with Playa to a certain extent. Getting 3 or 4 1st round talent obviousily helps but it's those middle rounds that are critical. Spencer and Smith are two good pick ups in the middle rounds.

he had a great draft top to bottom no doubt, just the edge goes to Jersey in my book based on where he picked.

Mikey if you want to feel good about your draft just compare it to mine

You actually have a pretty good draft. My whole draft depends on how Vince Young pans out. Hopefully he's the star QB that my team needs.

Yea it makes it easy when you have all the picks but I gave away quite abit to get what I had. Hope it pays out in the future....I guess we will wait and see. Later Guys I wont be back till Next Sunday making a trip to San Fran/ Napa Valley with the wife and I get to see the Giants play the Marlins on Monday nite...>WONDER if Barry will even play. TILL then take care and I willd drink plenty of wine for my Buffalo Friends!!!!!!!!!!
