I think my team will do a little better than last year. Then again, considering I only won 3 games last year, it should be easy to improve on that. I do think that w/ the players I've added for this year in the passing game and on defense, I should be able to win close to 8 games, maybe 9 if I'm real lucky. I just want to have my team playing well @ the end of the year, so that they can go into the third year w/ a lot of momentum. Now, w/ the guys I drafted in this year's rookie draft, I'm looking to contend for the championship next year. This year, hopefully, is the year my team gets better and starts to play to their potential.

Re: So, How's YOUR Team Looking For This Year?
I look foward to winning a game.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Re: So, How's YOUR Team Looking For This Year?
My team has certainly improved.....how much remains to be seen. I think we could have a run at a playoff spot this season.
My defense was revamped big time. And with the FA draft additions of Kemo and Arrington I feel like I got good depth guys who will be big next season.
My WR and RB corps are loaded, and depending on how JP does this year I could have a cheap young QB. Not to mention my OL is miles above where it was last year. All in all I could see a 9-7 to 11-5 type year.
Defense:
DL: 7-8-9-7
LB: 7-7-7
DB: 9-6-9-7
OL: 7-8-6-9-6

My O line sucks. Not really, but w/ Birk out, that leaves me struggling in the interior. Goes like this:
LT: 8
LG: 5.5
C: 5.5
RG: 5.5
RT: 8
Could be worse, I guess, but it could be better. Birk was an 8 for me last year, I think. I could sure use that this year.

Re: So, How's YOUR Team Looking For This Year?
The secondary will be good, probably my best unit overall:
LCB: 7
RCB: 9
SS: 10
FS: 9
The linebackers won't be too shabby, either:
LOLB: 6
LILB: 8
RILB: 7
ROLB: 7
The D line will be okay. Should be better than last year's debacle:
LDE: 6
NT: 6
RDE: 9

Cadilac will be my ticket this year. besides him my offense is weaker than last year.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"

Re: So, How's YOUR Team Looking For This Year?
I have a lot of talent on my team but my LB's on defense and a few holes on the OL will keep me out of the playoffs.
I hope to have fixed the OL with my draft this year. Got some young LB that could improve. The foundation is set and my skill players on offense is one of the best in the league. Next year will be my run.

I feel I have improved on both sides of the ball but time will tell....I hope the coaching staff can meld these guys together. Should be an interesting season for the Deuces.

Re: So, How's YOUR Team Looking For This Year?
I might be going into the season with one of the worst starting line ups the league has ever seen in it's short history.
QB ranked 40th J. McNown
RB " 24th
FB 3
WR ranked 64th
WR " 79th
TE " 5th
OL 5-10-7-6-7
DL 6-5-5-9
LB 7-8-8
DB 6-5-5-6
I'd like to see someone top that group.

Re: So, How's YOUR Team Looking For This Year?
My team is very young and should be competetive this year and should "HOPEFULLY" make a run for it next year or the year after.
DE KGB 6
DT Rod Coleman 9
DT Ryan Pickett 7
DE Travis LaBoy 5.5
OLB Roosevelt Colvin 7
MLB Tatupu 8
OLB Merriman 8
CB Springs 7, Asante Samuel 6
CB Gamble 7, Ike Taylor 6
SS Nick Ferguson 6
FS Chris Hope 8
On offense, I am pretty weak at WR but with Eli Manning, I will have a few years to get myself a good one to go along with him. We shall see.
