Does anyone know the status of Ryan Miller? Was he arbitration eligable this year or is it next? Is he currently under contract for next season? Any info would be great.

Darcy is Waiting For Arbitrations to finish before negotiating with him...
So he is not under contract for next year?Originally Posted by SkateZilla
Nope. At least he didn't elect for arbitration, though.
he is restricted so at the very least will sign a one year deal

There isn't a doubt in my mind that a long term deal with Miller won't be achieved.
He is about to be the face of the franchise and starting on the 08' Olympic squad.
What about Cam Ward, he looked as good or better in the playoffs. No way Carolina wins the Cup w/o him standing on his head nearly every game.Originally Posted by jamze132
Yeah Cam played well in the post season, but I think Miller was better. If we had another defenseman in game 7, the cup would have been in Buffalo. The hockey world knows this to be true.Originally Posted by HAMMER
We better lock him up for at least 3 years at about 2.4 Million this year, 2.7 next.. and 3.0 the third. Because if we sign him to just a year, next year when he goes to arbitration I see him getting crazy money. Because he is the real deal and will play great again this season.

Regier has apparently been trying to find takers for goaltender Martin Biron and the $2.128 million remaining on his contract, but there appears little interest in him at this time. Meanwhile, Regier has yet to re-sign veteran defenseman Dmitri Kalinin and goaltender Ryan Miller, who displaced Biron last season as the club's starter.
