How about trying to stop stuff before it happens then trying to play catch up all the time?

OP- just drive everywhere. Enough whining.
          Piss off.

How about making realistic security decisions instead of reactionary policies and unnecessary bannings? This ban does not make us one bit safer.

Neither do the shoe searches because once they banned matches and lighters, shoe bombs aren't a threat anymore.

You think it's whining that the terrorists are changing the way we do things? That the government is making assinine security policies that don't make us safer?

And BTW, we've already been over this- flying isn't always a choice. And even when it is, why should I put up with this BS because of stupid terrorists and even more stupid government policies. It's unreasonable, unnecessary and doesn't make us any safer. The only way to make us truly safe is to just ban air travel altogether.

It is not a singles bar. If you breath is that bad get it taken care of by an oral surgeon. Be thankful they don't make you sit there with your hands folded. Not get over it and get some air.
does it matter if there's a reason? The terrorists are still telling us what to do and the government is still making security policies that are reactionary and don't make us safer.

Why don't they just strip search us then make us check our clothes and board the plane naked? Will you be saying "get over it" when it comes to that?

Because, Op, if you want to fly, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE but to abide by the stupid government policies. It's as simple as that.

BTW, you can still bring matches aboard a plane.

So you would rather we don't do anything because it inconveniences you, right? So what if terrorists blow up a few planes, Op isn't inconvenienced and that is what counts.

I would rather the government comes up with policies that actually PROTECT us. IF this stuff is so dangerous:

                                a) why hasn't it been banned before
                                b) why hasn't it EVER lead to one death or injury, ANWHERE, EVER? Terrorism and liquid explosives weren't invented yesterday.

You think it's about convenience- I think it's about reasonable responses to risks and threats.
