Does the half of the total money owed count towards the cap still? To get rid of Robertson would cost a cap hit of almost 6m(11.6 million owed) plus paying the 3 million for Harris after that?

Just curious. If it doesn't count towards the cap anymore I got trades I would like to make.

That would mean Playaz would need 9 million in available cap room which he doesn't have. Anyone know if the rule has been changed?

            It was last left at:

            1. Before the start of any season if you cut or trade a player then one half of all their salaries will be assessed against your cap. Example. If you have a player signed for 2 years at $1mil and $1.2 mil and you cut or trade them before the season begins you will be assessed a penalty of $1.1 mil.

based on that info looks like trade is disallowed, I figured if salaries matched up that didnt matter, I have one thing to say dumb rule

Speaking of transactions I would like to drop J. Parquet T KC and pick up QB T. Romo? Dallas.

I believe I take a cap hit of .05 for the drop and .5 mil for the signing, is that correct?

that doesn't make much sense does it?? let me think on this one for a couple of hours...the cut part still stays...the trade part I will reconsider.

There should be some penalty just to prevent dumping salaries, but it should be minimal. Half the contract length is a bit much.

I'm currently thinking half the amount of the current season remaining and then assess half of the remaining contract against the next season.

Playas throwing collins in isn't for dumping salary.it's to compensate for a player rated 8 and another player rated 6.
