Great White Subpoenaed in Nightclub Case
Members of the band Great White have been subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury that will investigate the nightclub fire that killed 97 people last week, authorities said Tuesday.
The grand jury will convene Wednesday, law enforcement authorities said on the condition of anonymity. One official also said investigators have searched the home of one of the club's owners.
The developments came one day after thousands turned out to honor the dead at three separate memorial services.....more

When I was in junior high, I loved this band. Sigh, I even made a Great White tee shirt in art class. What a pric* Jack Russell is. I have not seen him once seem sorry or saddened by all this, just trying to "damage control" the whole situation.

All sides are really beginning to irritate me.
I was feeling really bad for the owners- I know extended family members of theirs- until this weekend. They have dodged the authorities requesting interviews with them to date- and issued a statement of " We (the nightclub) are conducting our own investigation into this matter".
RI' s state Attorney is getting very pissed at them, almost calling them out publically. The sympathy the state fell for those two is quickly turning on them- this is getting brutally ugly.

"But clearly, whoever set up that display - the band - is a potential target, whether they had permission or not."
As we say here in Rhode Island, eggzackly!
In an interview with the Station's stage manager today, he said that he warned Michael Derderian 3 months ago, that pyros & such were a fire hazard. And that they did heed his warning, because they refused pyros for other bands in those 3 months.
Aimee, I said the same thing the night it happened. Jack looked like he was doing damage control. I'm sure he was in shock, but no reporter asked him about getting permission and he just came right out and offered that info while the place was still on fire.
btw, that diagram they show in Phil's link, is not even close to the real place.
Only 3 bodies left to identify, and our friend is still waiting to hear about his friend Dina. She worked there part time, but wasn't working that night because she was one of the friend's he was supposed to go with.
The other thing that bugs me is, not every band has pyros, so why should the owner have to apply for a permit for every band? If the band really got permission like they say, why didn't they have a permit? There were none issued to either the band or the club. I think the band is lying big time.

They got a search warrant for Mike's house and said they were looking for club records. What they got and plastered all over the news was Michael's divorce papers as he's in the middle of one from what I heard.
Jeff said, "Let's deal with the families first."
Their club burns down. No income. They lose at least one dozen friends and employees. Mike is going through a divorce. They were filled over capacity. They have the band blaming them immediately. They may be facing criminal charges, poss manslaughter or murder, for killing those dozen friend's & employees along with all of the other people.
I'd have to say, if it were me...I'd let them talk to my lawyer too. Which, Lynch keeps failing to mention, they are talking to her.
