On the eve of Donovan McNabb returning from injury there are reports that Pennsylvania could have McNabb on the trading block. If he isn't traded this season then the Pimps prepare to honor his extension and trade him in the offseason.
From an anynomous source inside the organization, it was reported that the Pimps are very high on Phillip Rivers' future and plan on making him their starting QB next season. The Pimps won't let a player of McNabb's capability walk free though. If they can't work out a deal they are willing to eat part of his salary next season while a trade is worked out.
I located McNabb after he left the trainers room today and asked him about this information. He was suprised and haven't heard any mention of the possibility by the organization as of yet.
McNabb was obviously upset about learning of the news from me. He stated "I signed with this team last year because of all the great offensive weapons and with hopes of ending my career here. If this information is true I'm not very happy about not being able to control my own destiny of who I play for."
The GM of the Pimps, Mihkock Iszore, could not be reached for comments regarding the situation.
If this is true then there should be a lot of teams looking to add a player like Donovan McNabb to their roster. Stay tuned for breaking news on this story as it becomes available.
