well I know this for regular season games the SIM will allow players to play a little more than what they did in the real NFL in 2005.
So for example if Bulger played 10 games in the real NFL they may let him play in 11 games in the SIM, players sometimes will be sat out because of injuries other times they will be sat down because they have maxed out on their playing time for the year
I would assume that come playoff time Bulger would be your starter but I dont know for sure
