Why would anyone sign Jay Foreman to a $10 mill contract?

Any ideas? People were pissed here because we gave posey like 5 mill or whatever, imagine paying "facemask" Foreman to double that?

Texans | Contract Update: Foreman - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
11:30 PT: Updating previous stories, the AP reports the contract that LB Jay Foreman signed with the Houston Texans was worth $12.1 million over five seasons. A signing bonus of $2.2 million was also included

i would say we got posey cheap as dirt. i cant believe people are complaining about us spending money on him.

especially with our left overs making this kind of jack.

Foreman was one of the bright spots for the texans. He had a great year for them. I think he ended up having the same fate as Newman, decent player in the wrong system. Our mistake was trading Foreman for Rogers. Then again Rogers was supposed to be good.

Foreman played very well for them last season. He just let his emotions get in the way when they played us and it cost his team a win.

I'd say the Texans got a deal with that contract!

That would be my guess. Foreman isn't worth that much.

That's barely 2 mil a season in a cap hit (assuming it's not back loaded). He's worth 2 mil.

AWM is correct...he is worth that much...he made $563,000 last year...he had a good season on an expansion team.

Foreman's play gained him league wide recognition.

Posey? I had never heard of him until Buffalo signed him.

The Texans did not overpay for him.

No one outside of Buffalo or Houston know, or cares, who Jay Foreman is. He had 137 tackles and with the Texas run defense, most were 6 yards down field. He didn't have any sacks or picks, I definately think they overpayed
