    Cap question....

    I remember before the season that you said that we can use cap money left over from this year to restructure contracts. I was just wondering if that is still possible or not.

    I could have sworn that you meant we could restructure and take a salary cap penalty now. Basically you buy out some of the later years of a player's deal.

    Eb if i had signed a player I had orginally drafted at $5mil in our inauguaral draft and then signed him to a 1 year $ 5 mil contratc if I want to resign him again this year is it true that his contract will start out at the next highest contract amount or $7.5 Mil ???

    you can offer him a 1 year restricted deal but you could lose him in the draft...yes, he would be bumped to the next level.
