Well?
Is it basically fantasy football based on the previous year's stats?

You think you're hot **** in a champagne glass, but you're really cold diarrhea in a Dixie cup!
with cap management and strategy
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
correct...the computer sims the games based on the rosters and match ups created by the owner. when we get everybody to get the game the owners can play head to head over the internet and call all the plays. it is like Madden without the fancy graphics.Originally Posted by Gunzlingr

So it's not even based on what the players are doing in real life? Interesting....
Yes it is... just based on what they did in real life last year. Its no different than simming a game in Madden. The players ratings are based on the previous seasons performance.Originally Posted by RockStar36

Its kinda of like fantasy football except you have to actually know what your doing.
You manage a 53 man roster/salary cap. Free Agent and Rookie drafts occur each spring and basically you run the team just like a franchise. You can do almost anything with it. Game are simmed via computer software.
Normally you dont have to fool with it anymore then maybe an hour a week.

Can't argue that, until my teams win some damn games.
I was in one once, but you had to submit a gameplan each week, and do updates all the damn time. Way too labor intensive.
If there is an opening, I would be interested in a partnership.
You get at least 2 wins a year too, thats why me and rich are in the league.

That's 3 wins a year for my team, Michael. Yeah baby, we're 6-28 for the first 2 seasons! Woo hoo!!!!Originally Posted by MBBedard
